DVLA Get It Wrong

Preston Keeling

In the last edition of MGA News, we printed a copy of our information leaflet on MG and Driving. In the leaflet/article we advised you that it was a legal requirement that you notify the DVLA if you have MG. Imagine our surprise and distress when we started to receive anguished calls from members/supporters who had rung the DVLA and been told that, due to a change in the law, reporting MG was no longer necessary. I have now received an apology from the DVLA confirming that one of their staff made an error and that the situation is AS WE ADVISED, MG MUST be reported, no change in the law has taken place.
